Cabrillo is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) with a special focus on enhancing the Latinx student experience. Come join our team, valuing high-level and innovative instruction, support services, a welcoming environment, and helping to change the world one student at a time!

This full-time, 12 months per year, categorically-funded position is for a Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO)/Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Program Coordinator in the Academic Counseling, Career and Educational Support Services (ACCESS) division.

This Program Coordinator plans, coordinates, and implements student programs, service delivery, activities, and events; coordinates supportive services and access to resources for individual students; performs outreach and inreach to students targeted by the program; performs complex administrative support duties, including identifying and soliciting funding sources, monitoring program budget, and reporting program results; and performs related duties as assigned.

TRIO grants are U.S. Department of Education-funded, federal outreach programs designed to support and increase access to higher education for disadvantaged, low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities from middle school through postgraduate studies. These grants fund institutions and organizations to provide services like tutoring, counseling, and mentorship. To learn more about TRIO, visit the TRIO home page at the U.S. Department of Education.

This position is funded through a five-year federal TRIO grant and is contingent upon continued grant funding. Employment beyond the current grant cycle is dependent upon successful grant renewal and continued funding availability.
