Location: Garden City - hybrid schedule

Salary: 64,000-66,500

Summary: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization on Long Island to hire a Licensed Children's Mental Health Program Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed professional to step into a leadership role supporting children and families through impactful community-based mental health services.

Position Overview

The Licensed Children's Mental Health Program Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of a community-based mental health program, ensuring high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and strong team performance. This role will lead, mentor, and develop staff while working closely with internal leadership and external partners to improve access to care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of a children's mental health program to ensure effective, high-quality service delivery

  • Lead hiring efforts, including screening and interviewing candidates to build a strong clinical team

  • Manage caseload distribution and service capacity to meet the needs of children and families

  • Provide ongoing training, supervision, and professional development to team members

  • Monitor program data, KPIs, and outcomes to ensure compliance with state regulations

  • Support state reporting, audits, and documentation requirements

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance service access and coordination of care

  • Attend state meetings and stay aligned with evolving regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Master's degree and active licensure (LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Creative Arts Therapy) required

  • Minimum 2+ years of post-licensure experience in human services or behavioral health

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
