Position Overview: A well-established engineering and construction services organization is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to step into a senior technical and operational leadership role. This position goes beyond pure design work and focuses on engineering oversight, operations, team leadership, and long-term client outcomes. It is structured as a long-term opportunity with a clear path toward executive responsibility and potential future ownership, prioritizing technical integrity and engineered solutions over commission-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate residential and commercial structural conditions
- Develop, stamp, and approve engineering reports and repair designs
- Serve as primary technical authority for engineering decisions
- Supervise and mentor Engineers-in-Training and field inspectors
- Oversee site evaluations and quality control standards
- Manage multiple active projects and field teams
- Oversee scheduling, billing coordination, and administrative workflows
- Manage purchasing, equipment utilization, and material flow
- Supervise shop operations, vehicles, and maintenance programs
- Provide leadership across engineering, field execution, and office operations
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in structural systems or construction engineering preferred
- General contractor license or construction management experience is a plus
- Strong leadership and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform site inspections and basic field tasks
