Duties Description
Duties include but may not be limited to:
• Perform civil engineering duties including collecting and analyzing data on existing infrastructure, topography, and environmental conditions. • Review water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and other infrastructure systems. • Prepare site civil drawings and details, specifications, estimates, and/or studies for design projects. • Coordinate design drawings and related specifications, construction costs estimates, etc., with the other technical disciplines. • Actively manage the schedule of assigned projects according to workload, priorities, and design schedules. • Review reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates prepared by design consultants. • Actively oversee consultant design work for assigned projects. • Develop and maintain project documentation, including records of meetings, correspondence, and progress. • Review shop drawings, respond to contractor Requests for Information, create and/or review Information Bulletins, and provide similar construction administration and observation during the project's construction. • Perform a full range of supervisory duties, including reviewing the work of subordinate staff.
Operational Needs:
• Travel may be required (approximately 20%). • Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver's License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required.
