Duties

The Bureau, Henry, Stark Regional Office of Education #28 is seeking a Professional Learning Consultant to support our districts in the continuous improvement process and professional learning. The consultant will focus on supporting school districts through high quality professional learning opportunities at the ROE and within individual districts based on local district needs. The Professional Learning Consultant will support Tier 1 instruction, curriculum, assessment practices, and instructional leadership.

Key duties will include, but not limited to:

• Creating and facilitating professional learning for teachers and administrators
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts to improve student outcomes
• Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with district and school leaders
• Researching and implementing research-based practices when working with adult learners
• Developing expertise in emerging ISBE programs, plans, and initiatives and staying current in applying that knowledge to ROE professional development
• Supporting ROE initiatives and programming as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Professional Educators License
• Masters degree
• Proficient with technology

Preferred:

• Strong background in continuous improvement planning and processes, instructional leadership, and/or strategic planning.
• Experience working with adult learners and delivering large scale training preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Salary/Benefits

Regionally competitive TRS position with health and dental insurance benefits. 12 month, full-time contract with generous vacation and sick time.
