Production Worker I - Shift 1

Physical Demands: Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time up to 10 hours/day, to walk up to 10 hours/day and/or sit for up to 30-60 minutes/day, twisting or bending up to 10 hours/day, overhead work up to 10 hours as needed per production area. Physical Demands: Work is on the manufacturing floor interfacing with employees, and inspectors, monitoring, and supporting the manufacturing/production floor shop environment as job duties require.

Location: Sylmar CA
Duration: 3 Months on W2.

Shift Time: 1st Shift

Job Summary:
This position tends to special-purpose loading and unloading materials.

What you ll be responsible for in this role:

• Move and/or assist in moving material needed in production machines in an assigned production area.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of material in an assigned production area
• Transports material from one production area to another by pushing/pulling a cart
• Assist in lifting and moving heavy loads as required
• Assemble glass packs as required by the production area
• Operate equipment to assist in the production process
• Assemble materials as required by the production area
• Inspect finished product for defects, to ensure that quality standards are met
• Ensures work area is maintained in an orderly and safe manner per company procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned by the management team.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: H.S. diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

• Preferred experience in a production setting or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience in similar roles in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in glass manufacturing desired
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:NA
• Computer Skills: Basic PC skills
• Mathematical Abilities:Basic Math--Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.
• Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time up to 10 hours/day, to walk up to 10 hours/day and/or sit for up to 30-60 minutes/day, twisting or bending up to 10 hours/day, overhead work up to 10 hours as needed per production area.
• Ability to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50 % of the shift.

Physical Demands:

• Work is on the manufacturing floor interfacing with employees, and inspectors, monitoring, and supporting the manufacturing/production floor shop environment as job duties require.
• May be exposed to loud operating machinery and hot/cold temperatures.
• Use of proper PPE as required per company policy
