We are seeking full-time Production Associates for our Sheet Metal Assembly Department. Associates in these positions utilize a variety of hand tools and related equipment to assemble raw and semi-finished material into finished Metro product. Job duties vary within the Assembly Department and are interchangeable. Associates are required to have the ability to perform all job duties within the department to support various functions. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality.\n \nCandidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.\n \nJob Responsibilities\n\n Assembles various components of Metro product to manufacture customized finished product.\n Reads and interprets orders to ensure the finished product meets customer orders.\n Uses computer to research product specifications.\n Checks parts dimensions using a variety of measuring equipment.\n Must have basic math skills.\n Meets production and quality standards.\n Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.\n Cleans and maintains work area.\n Must be available to work overtime as business needs dictate\n Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment\n Regular attendance is required.\n \nBasic Qualifications\n\n High school diploma or equivalent required\n \nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Previous experience in sheet metal assembly.\n Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment\n Previous experience working with hand tools\n \nAdditional Information\n\n Employee benefits and additional rate increases are available after successful completion of the screening process and a probationary period of 400 working hours.\n \nAbout InterMetro Industries\n \nInterMetro Industries (Metro), a Business Unit of Ali Group North America, is a leader in storage and transport products in the Food Service, Commercial Products and Healthcare Industries.
