Overview

Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Product Test Technician, located in Austin Texas.  Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform the selection of specialized test equipment, set-up, calibration, Helium leak testing and mechanical assemblies

  • Knowledge on Transducer, Mass Flow Controller, Regulators and Pneumatic valves components 

  • Read Flow diagram drawings

  • Troubleshoot / debug issues, isolate defects and assist in solving defects

  • Work independently with moderate supervision

  • lift to 50 lbs.

     

     

    Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good visual and manual dexterity

  • Strong understanding of related mechanics

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment 

  • Ability to interact with other members of the organization 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required

  • Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 10 key skills

     


    Desired Education, Certifications and Experience

     

  • 2-4+ years production or related work experience

  • A.A. Degree or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience

  • Vocational or technical training or equivalent

  • Digital and/or analog systems testing experience

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
