What You Will Do
The primary duty of the Production Technician is to assist in leading the Production Area to successful achievement of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team goals. The Production Technician is the technical expert in the Production Assembly area and may assist with developing new manufacturing processes, as well as collaborating with Engineering to implement improvements for existing manufacturing processes. This position may assist in overseeing and directing the activities of some Assembly personnel.
- Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and regulations are met.
- Demonstrate knowledge and act in accordance with NMT's Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT's Quality Manual.
- Work with the Engineering staff to assist with prototype assembly builds, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Document assembly and test methods.
- Work with engineers to develop assembly and alignment methods for complex medical device assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Contribute technical expertise in the development and implementation of new processes.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
- Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
- Communicate project status to engineers.
- Manage label printing process for production area.
- Assist in the assembly of medical devices.
- Maintain a safe work environment, meeting company safety policies and all regulatory requirements.
- Work with Manufacturing Manager, Assembly Supervisor, and Leads to coordinate work and provide training and instruction to Production employees.
- Regular attendance is required.
What You Bring
Core Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.S.) or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience in a technician position.
- Or, at least 3 years of relevant experience in a technician position.
- Or, at least 5 years of relevant experience in a Production position with a history of learning and increased responsibilities.
- Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
- Experience in a regulated environment, such as ISO and FDA QSR
- Ability to use common hand tools and measurement tools including torque wrenches, wire strippers, calipers, micrometer, pin gauges
- Previous wire/cable termination, soldering, crimping, and adhesive bonding experience is required
- Previous electrical testing experience including continuity, resistance, hipot testing is required
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC training is preferred
- Previous experience designing fixtures or tooling is preferred

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hour. AcN
