Job Title: Production Supervisor Location: Indianapolis, IN – El Milagro FacilityReports To: Plant Manager / Operations ManagerPay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hourFLSA Status: Non-ExemptShift: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (based on operational needs) Position Summary The Production Supervisor leads and directs daily manufacturing operations at El Milagro’s Indianapolis plant, ensuring efficient production flow, product quality, and food safety compliance. This role supervises a team of 8-10 production employees and plays a key part in developing a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to support effective communication with team members and cross-functional departments. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Supervise daily production operations to meet quality standards, safety requirements, and production goals. Coordinate workflow and resources to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Monitor production outputs and adjust processes as needed to stay on schedule. Track production data and maintain accurate logs (yield, downtime, output, etc.). Team Leadership Lead, develop, and motivate a team of 8-10 production associates. Assign daily tasks and set clear expectations to meet production targets. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Facilitate team meetings and encourage open communication. Quality & Food Safety Reinforce and enforce food safety protocols, including GMPs, sanitation practices, and facility requirements. Partner with Quality Assurance on quality checks and corrective action follow-through. Ensure compliance with internal food safety standards. Health & Safety Champion safety protocols and enforce safety policies to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct regular safety checks, trainings, and briefings. Address and document incidents, and support corrective and preventive actions. Communication & Reporting Report production status, issues, and progress to plant leadership. Communicate effectively with maintenance, QA, HR, and other departments. Recommend operational improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 2+ years in a manufacturing or production environment (food manufacturing experience preferred). Leadership: Supervisory experience with small teams; demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees. Language: Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal) — critical for team communication and training. Technical: Basic understanding of production processes, equipment operation, and quality standards. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with clear and effective communication. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and sustain improvements. Safety-Mindset: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in food manufacturing supervision. Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, or other food safety programs. Knowledge or training in Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen).
