Production Supervisor / Smart Cabinetry

Smart Cabinetry / Cabinetworks Group is looking for a Production Supervisor in our manufacturing plant in New Paris, Indiana. To better align with Cabinetworks Operating System, we are looking for the below skill sets.

Full Job Description

Responsible and accountable for the management of all aspects of shop floor operations through the direct reporting of lead supervisor and/or supervisor subordinates in one or more departments. Managers are responsible for multiple departments as assigned across all applicable shifts.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
  • Develop and manage a culture of discipline to consistently deliver superior safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance through continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the safe use of the equipment and schedule regular maintenance
  • Check production output according to specifications
  • Submit reports on performance and progress
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
  • Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
  • Report to assistant plant manager
  • All other duties assigned

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • College Degree not necessary with the right candidate
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools (Fab Knowledge)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Lean 5S Knowledge / Lean Six Sigma
  • Automation process implementation experience
  • Safety / OSHA
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Process Improvement
  • Value Stream Mapping
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
