Production Supervisor
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing the daily activities of all team members in the production and processing departments. The successful candidate will be able to perform job hazard analysis with assistance from Safety and the Operations Manager, minimize line downtime, increase efficiency, and manage employee absences and performance issues. The Production Supervisor will execute special projects and initiatives as assigned, accept safety as a condition, and support plant operations. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure product conformance and line efficiency
Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of production lines, department, or work crew
Understands, utilizes and trains staff on ERP and OEE systems
Work cross-functionally with all departments
Safety role model
Ensures PPE is worn by staff as required
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
Leadership
Analyzes and resolves or assists workers in resolving personnel problems
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
Culture Building
Keen eye for safety opportunities
Work in a customer-centric manner
Represent the company positively through supplier relations
Support the Operations Manager as necessary with projects or necessary research
Conduct Risk Management and/or Job Hazard Analysis

Education & Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma required, some college preferred
2+ years experience working in food manufacturing required
Prior supervisory experience required
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Experience with ERP System(Oracle/Peoplesoft) and OEE system (RedZone) preferred
