The Production Supervisor role is an onsite position based in St. Joseph, MO, responsible for ensuring high production, quality, and safety standards.
Key duties include:
- Monitoring daily production orders to meet customer demands
- Ensuring all positions are staffed before line start-up
- Overseeing team member exercises, ergonomic practices, and machinery performance
- Maintaining USDA inspection standards at workstations
- Promoting safety through daily practices and monthly meetings
- Managing inventory rotation, shipping accuracy, and product coding
- Communicating company benefits and policies to team members
- Fostering a positive team environment via training, retention, and counseling
- Overseeing processing operations, record-keeping, and problem-solving alongside other supervisors
- Providing ongoing education on quality importance and handling rework or returns
Requirements include:
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, meat science, or related field
- Over 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and data entry with solid math skills
- Willingness to travel 1-5 times per year
- Multiple shifts available
