Responsibilities:

Keysight’s Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA exists to provide precision machined metal components that enable the capabilities of Keysight’s industry leading electronic measurement equipment. As Swing Shift Operations Supervisor, you will develop and lead a highly skilled team operating our machining and secondary operations processes on swing shift with emphasis on safety and quality.

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Ensuring a safe work environment, providing incident support during swing shift.
  • Ensuring adherence to Keysight quality standards, tracking NCM response, collaborating with site leadership on quality initiatives.
  • Coordinating daily production schedules and operations activities for swing shift staff.
  • Ensure smooth daily production transitions between day and swing shift.
  • Providing swing shift team leadership, coaching, development, and fostering a cooperative and effective work environment.
  • Implementing solutions to team and department challenges.
  • Contributing to capacity planning, including review of assets (people, equipment, space).
  • Tactical execution of business processes and controls.
  • Accountability for team performance against operational metrics including productivity, process yield, manufacturing variances and continuous improvement activities.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with managers and key stakeholders in all related functional areas to assure processes, schedules, and resources meet business goals.
  • May at times be asked to be present for meetings or activities during day shift.
  • Expectation is for the Swing Shift Supervisor to start between 3pm and 5pm.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with machining or other precision manufacturing processes as an individual contributor and/or in a leadership role.
  • Requires basic management skills and ability to execute processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership and technical management experience.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • General Windows OS computer skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word, Copilot).
  • Production data analytics familiarity.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software (Oracle, Opcenter, or similar systems).
  • Experience supporting trainee and team development in a mixed volume, high precision environment.
  • Experience supervising swing or second shift production operations.
  • Technical degree or coursework strongly preferred.

 

CA Pay Range: MIN $76,000.00   - MAX $128,000.00

 

Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
