What you'll do...
Safety
Enforce compliance with Safety Operating System practices to include, but not limited to: Combustion Safety; Energy Lockout; Pedestrian and Vehicle Safety; Working at Heights; Pre-Task Analysis (PTA); and licensing and safety training requirements
Identify and insure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are promptly corrected
Quality
Drive Continuous Improvement in order to reduce scrap
Conduct and coordinate daily audits to ensure process discipline
Maintain lab equipment in a state of compliance with specifications, fit, form, and contamination standards
Ensure the compliance with all relevant corporate and departmental KPIs and management requirements
Present quality data during daily "stand-up" meetings or shift handovers
Cost
Minimize overtime by controlling absenteeism, preparing for and fully utilizing down time; optimizing use of labor throughout the day
People
Lead a team of hourly quality control operators
Onboard new operators on quality standards and specific defect-recognition techniques.
Build Team Leaders’ and Team Members’ capabilities
Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks; build and foster a team environment between Quality and Production
Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
Maintain a versatility matrix that ensures technical coverage at all times
Participate in Time & Data Management meetings as prescribed by Ford Production System (FPS)
Environment
Maintain 5S and other housekeeping items in all QA labs
Perform other related duties as required
Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
