The Night Shift Production Supervisor oversees the daily activities of production personnel and provides strong leadership in safety, quality, housekeeping, cost reduction, and employee relations.


This role is responsible for driving performance, accountability, and compliance while fostering a positive and productive work environment aligned with Saint-Gobain's Principles of Conduct and Action.


Work Schedule: This position is on the night shift working from 6PM - 6AM with a rotating 2-2-3 schedule which includes some weekends.


Key Responsibilities


+ Supervise hourly production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high_quality operation of production line equipment and processes.

+ Lead shift safety meetings and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

+ Monitor employee productivity and performance; provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to support continuous improvement.

+ Establish clear performance expectations and goals consistent with organizational objectives and vision.

+ Enforce plant rules and policies consistently and equitably, holding employees accountable for all aspects of their roles.

+ Communicate, document, and assess employee performance; administer corrective action and discipline up to and including termination when necessary.

+ Support the hiring process for hourly production employees, including participation in candidate evaluations and selection.

+ Ensure production employees are properly trained and qualified prior to operating manufacturing equipment and verify adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.

+ Assist with root cause analysis of production losses and support the implementation of sustainable corrective actions.

+ Maintain workplace organization and housekeeping standards (5S) by holding employees accountable for their assigned areas.

+ Review and approve employee time records in the UKG timekeeping system to ensure accurate pay in accordance with site policies, procedures, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

+ Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.


Qualifications


+ Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

+ 3 -5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

+ Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.

+ Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality requirements in a manufacturing setting.

+ Ability to enforce policies fairly while building positive employee relations.
