Production Supervisor General

• This is an ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversion
• This is an afternoon position (Mon - Fri, 3:30pm - 12am)
• This position offers $26.30/hour, 10 days PTO, medical/retirement contributions (if desired)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of UAW/union workforce within a warehouse/distribution environment
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Manage manpower planning, staffing, and daily workload allocation
• Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts, aging material, and accuracy checks
• Monitor WMS and operational KPIs (quality, productivity, attendance, delivery)
• Lead shift start-up meetings and maintain clear communication with frontline teams
• Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure process adherence
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities
• Manage employee relations, attendance tracking, coaching, and performance feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow and operations

Qualifications:

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or production operations
• Prior experience supervising UAW/union employees strongly preferred
• Proven leadership ability managing hourly teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, quality processes, and operational metrics
• Ability to work closely with both operations employees and leadership
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Solid business acumen and problem-solving ability
• High level of self-motivation, emotional resilience, and accountability
• Ability to multitask and perform in a fully onsite, high-demand environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
