Production Supervisor – Night Shift

Schedule & Compensation

  • 6:00 PM–6:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (Work 2 days, Off 2 days, Work 3 days, then the schedule flips)
  • Every other weekend completely off
  • $31–36/hour
  • Time-and-a-half after 40 hours worked in a week
  • On the standard schedule, candidates at the top of the pay range can earn approximately $88,000+ annually before any additional overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all production operations during the assigned shift across 1–2 production lines, two slitter lines, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
  • Manage production schedules, staffing, and shift handoffs to ensure production goals, quality standards, and customer deadlines are met.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production employees while handling attendance, payroll approvals, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Quality to troubleshoot production issues, minimize downtime, and maintain efficient operations.
  • Monitor production performance, quality, scrap, throughput, and other KPIs while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enforce OSHA, LOTO, PPE, and other safety standards while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
  • Complete shift reports, communicate operational updates to leadership, and ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Ideal Background

  • Manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in coil coating, steel, aluminum, or another continuous-process manufacturing environment, with experience leading teams, improving production performance, and making real-time operational decisions.
