Description

The Chemical Production Supervisor will report into the Operations Manager and be responsible for:

  • Lead and supervise multi-shift chemical manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and operational standards.
  • Develop and communicate production schedules and priorities across shifts.
  • Monitor production performance and coordinate material flow throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with technical and engineering teams to support process improvements and operational initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities with quality, laboratory, order fulfillment, and wastewater treatment departments.
  • Analyze production issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and oversee procurement of raw materials and production supplies.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures remain current and consistently followed.
  • Support employee training, coaching, performance management, and workforce development.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with engineering projects, data collection, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Manage departmental activities to support budgetary and operational objectives.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
  • Extensive supervisory experience within a chemical processing, metals processing, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing operations and safe chemical handling practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, mentor, and develop production personnel.
  • Experience managing production schedules, materials, equipment, and operational priorities.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, operational procedures, and safety information.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems such as SAP, and production databases.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
