 “Production Supervisor"


RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Supervises, coordinates and prioritizes activities of production personnel to meet customer, plant and management requirements.
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Ensures effective utilization of manpower to minimize overtime requirements.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Ensures daily communication of relevant events is completed daily from shift to shift. 
  • Maintains production, quality and timekeeping reports and records accurately.
  • Examines products for adherence to specification and processes for adherence to standards.
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 3 months of accepting the position
  • Must be willing to learn how to operate walkie stackie. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience: 

  • High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years of supervisory experience with an understanding of welding, stamping and automated assembly process.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Technical Skills:

Ability to work with the following software packages or programs:

  • Microsoft Office at a beginning level 
  •  Effective email and electronic communication skills are required

Ability to work with the following data base programs and/or hardware:

  • QAD database at a basic level
  • Hilo Certification (within 6 months)

Ability to work with the following tools or machinery

  • Micrometers
  • Calipers

 

This full-time, salary role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Manager.
