Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to lead shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring employee safety, maintaining product quality, and supervising production personnel to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate production, warehousing, distribution, and shipping activities during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor production performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
  • Train, schedule, assign, and supervise hourly production employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, address employee concerns, and support positive employee relations.
  • Investigate and resolve operational and personnel issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete production reports and administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, lumber, wood treating, or a related industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret production data, safety procedures, and operating instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn production reporting systems.
  • CDL and forklift certification are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical equipment, humidity, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
  • This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires strict adherence to safety procedures.
