As a Production Supervisor you will lead and coordinate a diverse team of operators and team leads to meet daily production and quality targets across multiple diagnostic product lines in the water quality industry. This is a 2nd shift role that reports to IDEXX's Scarborough, ME location. You will play a key role in driving operational success through direct leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You'll operate within Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles while supporting regulatory compliance and ensuring efficient, high-quality production. Your leadership will directly impact the delivery of reliable products to customers worldwide.

In this role:

  • You will ensure production goals are achieved through effective staffing and resource allocation across multiple production lines.

  • You will partner with Supply Chain, Quality Control, and Engineering teams to ensure product quality, availability, and compliance.

  • You will recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering growth and engagement.

  • You will collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate production efforts and achieve operational goals.

  • You will create and maintain procedures and documentation for process improvements, new products, and equipment.

  • You will identify opportunities to improve training, production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

  • You will analyze production data and present reports to leadership to support decision-making.

  • You will lead teams in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

What you need to succeed:

  • 3+ years working in a supervisor or similar role.

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and leadership experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams

  • Experience coaching and mentoring employees to improve performance

  • Ability to build team engagement and trust to achieve shared goals

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP or similar systems

  • Strong data analysis skills with a focus on accuracy and consistency

  • Strong planning, organization, and execution skills

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives preferred

Schedule:

  • 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 11:30pm

  • Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the role

  • An annual salary target of $67,000 - $72,000
