TheProduction Supervisor with Siemens Energy Blades and Vanes division will overseemanufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality productionwhile managing the production team. This role includes supervising employees,scheduling, line balancing, and monitoring quality, efficiency, and compliancewith Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Acting as the primarycontact for production issues, the supervisor fosters teamwork and drivesprocess improvements. Strong leadership skills are essential for success inthis role.
HowYou’ll Make an Impact
- Ensuresafe work practices are followed by all manufacturing personnel, addressingdeficiencies and taking corrective action as needed to maintain OSHA complianceand prioritize workplace safety.
- Studydaily operating results, meet with subordinates and supervisors to resolveproduction issues, and maintain cooperation between departments to ensuresmooth operations.
- Managestaffing by ensuring correct workforce distribution, coordinating temporarystaffing needs, and overseeing training for all new or transferred employees.
- Monitorand evaluate overtime requirements, authorize vital overtime, track employeeattendance records, and enforce company policies when needed.
- Assistin mediation of personnel issues, conduct disciplinary actions when required,and continuously coach and develop the production team to enhance skills andflexibility.
- Evaluateproduction reports and metrics, monitor customer production requirements,coordinate schedule adjustments, and implement strategies to meet both short-and long-term business goals.
WhatYou Bring
- Bachelor’sin engineering with 5 years or associate degree with 8 or more years of work experience.
- 3or more years of direct supervisory/ leading experience in manufacturing and /or investment casting.
- 5or more years of manufacturing experience involving alignment, assembly work,casting, welding and machining.
- Experienceworking in a multi-disciplinary team environment, collaborating effectivelywith diverse departments, and demonstrating strong proficiency with computersand Microsoft Office software for efficient workflow and reporting.
- Provenexperience in team building, conflict resolution with hourly manufacturingworkforce, addressing issues to maintain a positive and productive workenvironment.
- Thisposition may require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureauof Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of DefenseTrade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for thisposition.
About the Team
Our GasServices division offers Low-emission power generation through service anddecarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbinesunder one roof, steam turbines and generators.
