SUMMARY
The Production Services position is responsible for supporting food production operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and adaptability. The ideal candidate will perform standard production tasks and be trained to serve as a backup for various machines, occasionally work the product line, and step in as a team leader when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform general production duties such as assembling, packing, stacking, and palletizing food products • Occasionally work directly on the production line to support production needs • Visually inspect products for quality and remove any non-conforming items • Ensure adequate product quantities are available to meet order requirements • Assist in machine setup and preparation based on production schedules and specifications • Assemble, inspect, and clean equipment parts before and after runs, including lockout/tagout procedures • Conduct first-piece inspections and ongoing quality checks (e.g., weight, size, twist, casing, etc.) • Verify the accuracy of scales and machine settings • Perform routine operational audits every 15 minutes to ensure compliance with specifications • Cross-train across multiple production areas and serve as backup for various equipment and team lead roles • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace in accordance with USDA, HACCP, and company standards • Assist with the disassembly, cleaning, and safe storage of equipment at end of shift • Perform other duties as assigned or required by supervisors
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions, safety procedures, and product specifications in English. Must possess basic math skills for measurement, weight, and scale calibration. Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative in maintaining quality and safety standards. Previous experience in food manufacturing or with food processing equipment strongly preferred. Ability to be trained on and operate various machines and equipment. Must be physically capable of lifting/pushing/moving up to 70 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally. Able to work in a wet, cold, and loud production environment for extended periods. Flexible and open to working multiple roles across different shifts or departments as needed.

PAY RANGE
The base pay range for this role is $19.75 USD/Hourly. The listed salary range represents Kayem Foods good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire pay ranges. Ranges are reviewed on a regular basis. An employees rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for an annual wage review.
