The role of the Production Scheduler 2 is to lead and coordinate the production schedule of Nucor Steel Arkansas to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery. This position builds upon the foundational responsibilities of the Production Scheduler 1 by requiring deeper operational knowledge, increased ownership of forecasting, and stronger integration with both commercial and operational teams.
The Production Scheduler 2 will collaborate with planning, sales, maintenance, and operations teams to guide and execute mill strategy while optimizing inventory levels and product mix across all business units. This role requires advanced cross-functional coordination to proactively manage production constraints, improve scheduling performance, and resolve complex scheduling challenges.
Additionally, this position will play an active role in production forecasting, supporting both operational execution and commercial commitments. The Production Scheduler 2 will provide accurate reporting, forecasts, and estimated completion dates to stakeholders across the division.
