We're partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Planning Project Manager to oversee production planning while coordinating customer projects from order release through final shipment.
This is a highly visible role where you'll serve as the operational hub between customers and internal teams, ensuring production schedules, project priorities, and manufacturing resources remain aligned. You'll work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Shipping, and Sales to keep projects moving efficiently while maintaining realistic production schedules and on-time customer deliveries.

5+ years of experience in production planning, production scheduling, project management, manufacturing operations, or project controls within an industrial manufacturing environment
Experience managing multiple customer-driven projects while balancing production priorities
Strong understanding of production scheduling, manufacturing workflows, labor capacity, and resource planning
Ability to coordinate engineering, purchasing, production, quality, and logistics activities
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to manufacturing operations
Advanced organizational, communication, and project coordination skills
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred), Microsoft Excel, and production scheduling tools
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Management, or related field preferred
APICS/CPIM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PMP, or related certifications are a plus

This position is primarily office-based with frequent interaction throughout an active manufacturing facility. Regular collaboration with production, engineering, and operations teams is expected. PPE—including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear—is required when entering production areas. The manufacturing environment includes typical industrial conditions such as noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
