We are helping a repeat manufacturing client that is looking for a Production Planner for their team. This person will be the primary scheduler of their manufacturing operations, as well as ability to get into the more analytical planning activities. The anticipated salary for this role is between $70,000-$80,000 a year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the production process, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of production materials.
Collaborate with the sales team to accurately forecast future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
Identify potential capacity bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions to improve productivity.
Determine outsourcing requirements based on plant capacity and product lead times.
Participate in regular production schedule meetings to understand plant performance and resolve any schedule conflicts.
Ensure accuracy of all production orders.
Regularly assess the performance of the production process and implement changes as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
APICS certification a plus
Five years' experience as a Production Planner or similar role
Strong knowledge of MRP, production planning and supply chain principles
