We are seeking a Production Planner to oversee production scheduling and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency. This role partners closely with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure materials, labor, and production capacity are aligned for on-time order fulfillment.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory, and manufacturing capacity.
• Release and monitor production work orders while adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in demand, material availability, staffing, or equipment constraints.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials and packaging are available to support production.
• Balance production priorities to achieve delivery goals while optimizing equipment utilization and minimizing downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels and planning data to maintain accuracy and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Communicate schedule updates and production priorities across cross-functional teams.
• Analyze production performance and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and throughput.
• Maintain accurate planning information within the ERP/MRP system.
• Support inventory accuracy initiatives, cycle counts, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure production plans comply with applicable food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, scheduling, or a related supply chain function.
• Experience in food, beverage, protein processing, or another high-volume manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and material planning.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field is a plus.
