Production Planner Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to resolve conflicts, delays, or equipment issues.
• Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure materials and components are available to meet production timelines.
• Maintain accurate data in ERP or planning systems, including work orders, BOMs, and lead times.
• Work closely with production supervisors to ensure execution aligns with the production plan.
• Manage inbound logistics, including tracking deliveries, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving shipping discrepancies.
• Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of finished goods to customers.
• Liaise with transportation providers and freight carriers to secure cost-effective and reliable logistics solutions.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and export paperwork (if applicable).
• Monitor and optimize freight costs and logistics performance.
• Order book management to a level that results in high levels of OTIF delivery
• Track raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to support production planning and shipping needs.
• Perform periodic inventory reconciliations and assist in cycle counts or physical inventories.
• Anticipate and plan for material requirements and any shortages
• Analyze planning and logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities.
