Job Summary
The Production Operator supports manufacturing operations by safely operating equipment, packaging finished products, maintaining quality standards, and working as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position offers advancement opportunities through a pay-for-skills program.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Review and complete required safety and job-specific training.
- Operate packaging equipment and overhead crane after training.
- Prepare pallets according to product specifications.
- Remove finished products from the production line and stack/package correctly.
- Generate and apply accurate product labels.
- Inspect finished products for quality and report issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Assist in cross-training and other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hot manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks during a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment.
- Must pass a Background & Drug Screen
- Steeled-toed boots.
