Night Shift Production Manager

American Armor is a new privately-owned Nitrile Glove manufacturer. American Armorproducts are proudly made in the USA! We are headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina. The facility utilizes completely automated manufacturing, packaging, and distribution systems, in addition to high volume and redundant utility systems, to ensure production system availability.

Position Summary:

  • Oversees production supervisors and production activities.

  • Works under guidance of Operations Manager and Head of Operation.

  • Reviews SOP’s with upper management and assists with training needs.

  • Works with Operations manager on development plans of Production Supervisors.

  • Oversees packaging and performs daily audits to determine any issues.

???????Primary Accountabilities:

  • Oversee daily production of Nitrile glove lines.

  • Communicates to upper management an accurate production status updates, but not limited to, lot status, equipment issues, training requirements, and production delays.

  • In constant communication with supervisors about production and training goals for the department and any additional requirements such as line improvements.

  • Ensure adequate staff is provided to maintain utility equipment effectively and efficiently. Provide 24hr support to the staff.

  • Serve as a leader for integrity and morale within the shift. Strive to promote teamwork and efficiency, will notify Upper Management and Production Scheduling of any delays or deviations to the schedule for that shift.

  • Train supervisors to troubleshoot issues during production. Ensure unresolved and/or recurring issues are escalated in an appropriate and timely manner and communicated to management.

  • Review Paylocity and communicates needs with supervisors.

  • Maintain employee reviews and get management approval.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned or apparent.

  • Communicates with supervisors to performs audits to ensure raw materials are accurately documented, material unloaded to 100T tank, gives feedback to management.

  • Ensures procedures are written and being enforced.

  • Back-up and assist all other Production line supervisors as necessary.

  • Associates degree or 4 -6+ years equivalent experience.

  • The ability to take strategic objectives and accept accountability to drive results through effective actions.

  • Computer experience: Microsoft office software

  • Must pass a drug test.

  • Must speak, write, and read English.

  • A broad perspective that aligns decisions to organizational objectives and long-term consequences of day-to-day activities.

  • The ability to create and contribute to an environment that values safety, people, encourages trust, teamwork, open communication, participation, learning, and recognition.

  • The ability to effectively manage one self, demonstrates integrity, be productive under pressure, and achieve departmental goals.

  • Position requires lifting (up to 50 lbs.), vision (20/20), bending (waist to floor), climbing (on a ladder), reaching (floor to overhead), standing (30%), sitting (30%), walking (40%), gripping, talking and hearing.

  • Incumbents are required to wear PPE as assigned by management.

  • Incumbents may be required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, bouffant, and laboratory coats and other non-specified protective equipment as necessary.

  • Salary range: Based on experience
