Position Summary
Origin Acoustics is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven Production Manager to lead speaker and custom audio manufacturing operations at our Las Vegas headquarters. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, accountability, workflow optimization, and operational excellence across the production floor.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives on building structure, implementing processes, creating production schedules, and ensuring teams execute with consistency and urgency. This individual will oversee daily manufacturing operations while developing scalable systems and protocols that improve communication, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, team management, and cross-functional collaboration. The Production Manager will also serve as a customer-facing representative when needed, communicating timelines, managing expectations, and ensuring both internal and external customers receive a high level of service and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Operations
- Lead and oversee all day-to-day production operations for speaker assembly and custom audio manufacturing.
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed production schedules to ensure on-time completion of orders and projects.
- Create and implement standardized processes, workflows, and operational procedures that improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability.
- Monitor production capacity, labor utilization, and workflow to maximize productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
- Ensure production goals, deadlines, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Establish and enforce operational protocols, documentation standards, and manufacturing best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, organization, quality control, and operational effectiveness.
Team Management & Accountability
- Lead, coach, and develop production staff while fostering a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Assign workloads and priorities based on production schedules and business needs.
- Conduct training, coaching, performance management, and cross-training initiatives.
- Hold team members accountable for following procedures, maintaining quality standards, and meeting productivity expectations.
- Partner with HR and leadership regarding staffing needs, performance concerns, and team development opportunities.
Process Improvement & Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and specifications before shipment.
- Identify production inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve workflow and output.
- Maintain accurate production tracking, reporting, and inventory coordination.
- Develop systems and processes that support scalable growth and operational consistency.
- Ensure workstations, tools, and manufacturing areas remain organized, clean, safe, and efficient.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Product Development, Sales, and Operations teams to support production goals and resolve challenges quickly.
- Communicate production updates, scheduling concerns, and operational priorities clearly across departments.
- Help align manufacturing timelines with company objectives and customer expectations.
Customer & Partner Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers regarding production timelines, order status, and manufacturing capabilities when needed.
- Manage expectations professionally and proactively by communicating delays, solutions, and project updates clearly.
- Support high-priority custom projects requiring coordination between customers, sales teams, and manufacturing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or operations environments.
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing production teams.
- Strong organizational and operational leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on execution, accountability, and process improvement.
- Proven ability to create schedules, implement systems, and improve operational workflows.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and interact professionally with customers and cross-functional departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and drive results under pressure.
- Proficiency with production scheduling, inventory tracking, and operational reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks in a warehouse/assembly environment when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in audio, electronics, AV, or custom manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience implementing operational processes or workflow systems in a growing organization.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
