We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Production Manager to join our team during the night shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make their mark in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production during the night shift, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. This role involves a high level of responsibility and requires a candidate with a strong background in inventory management. The successful candidate will be working closely with other department managers to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all night shift operations, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and on time.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems to ensure that all materials are accounted for and replenished as necessary.
• Collaborate with other department managers to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Ensure that all production equipment is maintained and functioning optimally, scheduling repairs and replacements as necessary.
• Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring that all staff are trained and compliant.
• Regularly review and analyze production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
• Develop and maintain a positive, productive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Manage and develop night shift staff, providing training, feedback, and support to ensure high performance.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with inventory management, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations within the manufacturing industry.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other department managers.
• Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and inventory management systems.
• A degree in business management, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to the changing needs of the business.
