Description

  • Plan and manage daily production activities to align with demand, inventory levels, and delivery commitments
  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and shop-floor teams to drive performance and engagement
  • Ensure products consistently meet quality standards through effective controls and monitoring
  • Allocate labour, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet output targets and control costs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput
  • Champion health and safety standards, ensuring compliance and proactive incident management
  • Oversee inventory management to balance availability, turnover, and cost
  • Manage production budgets, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce lead times
  • Produce and analyse production reports, providing insights and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards

Profile

  • 5-7+ years' experience in a Production Manager role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality systems
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience using manufacturing and production management systems
  • Highly organised with strong project management capability
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or similar
