About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the setup and ongoing operation of a new production line for an industrial product. This role will oversee production technicians, drive operational efficiency, and manage inventory to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing. The ideal candidate is hands-on, process-driven, and comfortable building systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the setup, launch, and optimization of a new industrial production line
  • Manage, train, and supervise production technicians to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput
  • Plan and manage production schedules to meet demand and delivery timelines
  • Oversee inventory management for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to support operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, efficiency, and costs
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably in an industrial environment
  • Proven experience setting up or scaling a production line
  • Strong leadership experience managing hourly production staff
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and efficiency metrics
  • Experience with inventory control and production planning
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience launching a new facility or production line
  • Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • Background in lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
