A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily operations across a multi-shift production environment. This newly expanded position offers the opportunity to influence plant performance through operational excellence, workforce leadership, cost management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The leadership team is investing in operational improvements and building stronger alignment across shifts, departments, and plant functions. This role provides significant visibility and direct interaction with executive leadership while offering the opportunity to make a measurable impact on plant performance

Description

  • Lead daily production operations across first and second shifts
  • Improve labor utilization, production efficiency, and cost performance
  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Sanitation teams
  • Ensure production readiness, staffing, and schedule execution
  • Drive continuous improvement and waste-reduction initiatives
  • Develop supervisors and frontline leadership teams
  • Monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, service, and cost
  • Support regulatory compliance, food safety, and audit readiness
  • Manage workforce planning, employee relations, and performance development

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience (12+ years food manufacturing exp)
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably within food or beverage
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in production operations
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Strong background in labor management, cost control, and operational improvement
  • Experience with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, BRC, food safety, and compliance programs preferred
  • Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience highly valued
