Job Description Lumber Production Manager - Chico or Fresno, CA

We're seeking a Lumber Production Manager to lead our growing lumber division in Chico or Fresno, California. The ideal candidate is hungry, humble, and driven - someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, operations, and leadership. In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of lumber production, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth. You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to streamline processes, strengthen relationships, and drive business results, all while maintaining a culture of safety and respect.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Champion safety and compliance across all production areas; ensure team members consistently follow procedures and PPE requirements.

Monitor production metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement process enhancements to maximize efficiency and quality.

Foster a team-oriented, high-performance culture built on respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with logistics, and sales to align production priorities with business goals and customer demand.

Drive lumber sales growth by nurturing strong customer relationships and identifying new opportunities in the market.

Partner with sales teams to forecast demand, manage pricing strategies, and maintain accurate inventory levels.

Negotiate contracts and pricing that balance customer satisfaction with company profitability.

Lead by example - hands-on, professional, and results-oriented in every aspect of the job.
