Shift: 3PM-11PM (2nd Shift)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage your Assembly organization against setting safety, quality, delivery and financial targets by leading and coaching your production team
  • Ensure a safe work environment and behaviors for all team members using a methodical approach to risk identification, mitigation and competence development
  • Continue the implementation of continuous improvement, which means to implement standardized ways of working, develop the organization and achieve contribution from all employees
  • Full accountability and ownership of your team's development, Union relationships, project follow up, midterm road map (0-1 year) and policy deployment from plant to operator level.
  • Inspire and influence through a communicative leadership style with your team and cross functional groups, with 2-way communication and high employee engagement. Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities, how they contribute to the total result and that they are recognized for performance
  • Develop industrial workforce to secure competence
  • Assess performance, competencies, and flexibility of employees within the department and initiate appropriate training, counselling, or corrective action to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the employees

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate for this position has an associate's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years' supervision experience in a manufacturing environment OR seven (7) years minimum combined education and supervision experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • We are looking for a goal-oriented leader with a strong drive to deliver and have the ability to continually develop and improve the organization and its employees.
  • Excellent communication skills, including working with cross functional teams, are essential to be able to build networks and create trusting relationships. You believe in building a knowledge-based organization with a strong teamwork as a foundation.
