We are seeking a Production & Logistics Way Supervisor at our Huntsville Manufacturing Plant, where we machine component parts and assemble the International S13 Powertrain to support our Heavy-Duty Truck assembly plant.
The Production & Logistics Way Supervisor reports to the site P&L Way Manager and is responsible for driving the P&L Way through leadership, training, and daily execution on the shop floor.
This role goes beyond supporting the system, you will own how it is taught, applied, and sustained. You will lead from the floor, develop Team Leaders and Supervisors, and ensure the organization is capable of executing standardized work, solving problems at the root, and improving flow every day.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:Lead P&L Way Deployment & Sustainment
· Drive implementation and adherence to P&L Way principles including Standard Work, Takt, Balanced Flow, Levelled Flow, Visual Management, and Real-Time Management
· Ensure standards are clearly defined, followed, and continuously improved
· Identify breakdowns in system execution and close gaps
· Maintain Skills Arena to support Plant needs
Own Training & Development
· Lead training strategy and execution for P&L Way across all levels (hourly, Team Leaders, Supervisors, support functions)
· Deliver and coordinate training using classroom, floor-based coaching, and real-time application
· Development hourly employees into capable P&L Way practitioners
· Develop training content (standard work, job aids, single-point lessons, visual materials)
· Ensure training translates to capability, not just completion
· Onboarding new employees and leaders into P&L Way.
Coach Leaders & Build Capability
· Directly coach Supervisors and Team Leaders on how to lead within P&L Way
· Reinforce leadership expectations: ownership, accountability, and presence
· Build problem-solving capability across the organization, not just solve issues yourself
Drive Problem Solving Culture
· Lead and coach structured problem-solving (root cause, countermeasures, follow-up)
· Ensure issues are contained, corrected, and prevented from recurring
· Shift mindset from workaround behavior to process ownership
Strengthen Daily Management System
· Ensure SQD metrics drive behavior and decision-making
· Drive disciplined use of tiered meetings, visual boards, and escalation processes
· Close the gap between tracking issues and actually resolving them
Lead from the Floor
· Maintain a strong shop floor presence to observe, coach, and reinforce standards
· Conduct observations and provide real-time feedback and correction
· Partner cross-functionally (Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Materials) to improve flow and performance
Support Continuous Improvement
· Identify and eliminate waste across production processes
· Support development and use of digital tools that enhance P&L Way execution
· Sustain improvements through standardization and follow-up
· Support a manufacturing environment where production currently runs 6:30AM – 5:00PM
