Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced specialty food and ingredients production environment. This role will oversee hourly production employees, drive safety and food quality initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and ensure production schedules are executed effectively while maintaining compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience within food, beverage, nutraceutical, dairy, ingredients, or related manufacturing environments and thrive in a high-growth operation focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise daily production operations for assigned shift
  • Manage, coach, and develop hourly production employees and leads
  • Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, sanitation, and food safety requirements
  • Monitor production schedules, staffing, downtime, yields, and throughput performance
  • Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and R&D teams
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate equipment concerns as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and shift reporting
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and cross-training production staff
  • Drive KPI performance related to safety, quality, labor, downtime, and production output
  • Ensure proper sanitation and allergen control procedures are followed
  • Help support startup, changeover, batching, blending, packaging, and ingredient handling activities

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Production Supervisory experience within food, beverage, nutraceutical, dairy, ingredients, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and FDA regulations
  • Experience leading hourly manufacturing teams in a fast-paced production environment
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies including Lean, 5S, or Kaizen preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams on the production floor
  • Experience with batch processing, dry blending, powders, spray drying, ingredients, or packaging operations highly preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, or rotating shifts as needed
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Operations leadership
