Production Manager

Our team is hiring a Production Lead to support Warehouse Support Services for the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC), in Williamsburg, VA 

The Production Lead supports government medical logistics operations by overseeing end‑to‑end warehouse production activities, including kitting, staging, receiving, inventory coordination, and workflow execution. This role is responsible for ensuring daily production operations align with expectations for performance, quality, safety, and timeliness, while coordinating closely with operations leadership, inventory, sustainment, and specialty teams.

The Production Lead operates in a fast‑paced warehouse environment and plays a key role in maintaining operational discipline, reporting accuracy, and continuous process improvement across production workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily production operations across warehouse workflows, including receiving, kitting,                       staging, and platform readiness
  • Coordinate production schedules, staffing, and task prioritization to meet operational requirements and deadlines
  • Coordinate and oversee production workflows to ensure consistent execution and adherence to operational                       requirements.
  • Monitor production throughput, quality metrics, and workflow performance; identify and address bottlenecks
  • Validate production documentation, reports, and records for accuracy and compliance
  • Partner with inventory, sustainment, shelf‑life, hazardous materials, and logistics teams to support integrated                 operations
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and output
  • Ensure production activities comply with applicable safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Prepare and provide production status updates and reports to operations and program leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing or overseeing production or warehouse operations in a                     logistics or supply‑chain environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading personnel and coordinating multi‑functional production teams
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, kitting, staging, and                 material handling
  • Experience in monitoring production performance metrics and operational reporting

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft® Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat®
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) or logistics databases

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting government, DoD, or Navy logistics operations
  • Familiarity with medical logistics or expeditionary support environments
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives in warehouse or production settings

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an active warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift, move, and position materials as required by operational needs

Security Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License; All NMRLC contractor employees must be U.S. citizens and maintain a favorable federal suitability determination (typically NACI with SF‑85/SF‑85P) sufficient to obtain and retain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) for installation, system, and facility access. Continued eligibility is required throughout contract performance, and loss of CAC or suitability status may result in removal from the contract.
