Level entry full-time position in general labor for a Production Helper in Ottawa, KS.
Overview: Assist in fabricating structural metal products for large-scale projects in construction, bridges, and industrial sectors.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lift, position, and unload workpieces from machines for fitting and welding.
- Load, transport, and organize materials, tools, and scrap.
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces for fabrication, welding, or shipping.
- Assist coworkers and perform routine tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Pass tacking tests in various positions.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED, with 12 months experience preferred. Knowledge of equipment like cranes, forklifts, and grinders. Ability to read, interpret safety and operation manuals, and perform basic math. No specific certifications required.
