You will be responsible for managing daily engineering and production activities, while also ensuring the quality and safety of the project and controlling associated costs. This position is located in our Midland Texas office and reports to the Production Engineer Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform analysis on wells to ensure efficient and optimal production performanceProvide engineering support to install artificial lift methods and production optimizationIdentify workover needs and implement designs and oversees execution of workover plansParticipates in LOE and Production Reviews and budget preparationCoordinate with other personnel, such as geoscientists, engineers, superintendents, foreman regarding production concernsConduct in-depth economic analyses to support business decisions and control costsCoordinate with reservoir, geological, and midstream teams to design full scale asset development plansSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEWorking knowledge of production optimization concepts and applicationsPractical knowledge of unconventional/conventional resource playsStrong analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills requiredAbility to make technical and economically sound recommendations requiredExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are necessaryMust be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independentlyDetail oriented with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracyTeam player that possesses the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Aries)Knowledge of Spotfire, Power BI, or any Business Intelligence Tools preferredEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineer or related field requiredYEARS OF EXPERIENCEMinimum of 3 years' experience as a Production Engineer for a E&P.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS10% - 15% Travel will be required for mandatory meetings, training and visits to field locations.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDWork is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced.
