Q Microwave, a leader in the precision RF manufacturing, design and manufacture of cutting-edge military and defense microwave solutions, is seeking a Production Test Technician to join our entrepreneurial, collaborative, and fast-paced team located in El Cajon, CA. The Production Test Technician performs basic testing and verification of electronic assemblies and components under the guidance of more senior personnel. This role supports product quality by following established procedures, accurately recording results, and assisting with troubleshooting as needed.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic testing on electronic assemblies and components
- Operate standard test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
- Follow test procedures and work instructions
- Record and document test results accurately
- Assist with troubleshooting and product verification
- Read basic schematics and test documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience, or
- Associate’s Degree or Technical Certificate in Electronics Technology with 0–2 years of experience, or
- Equivalent military electronics training
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products
- Basic understanding of electronic theory and test equipment
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. of test equipment with assistance.
- Fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with supervisors.
- Comfortable working on your feet in a production environment.
- Evening shift: 4:15 PM – 1:15 AM
