Production Coordinator

Pay: $22.50–$28.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with 2–3 half-day Saturdays per month.

Job Description

The Production Coordinator supports daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules, releasing work orders and travelers, monitoring the movement of materials and parts, and maintaining accurate production records. This role works closely with production, supply chain, shipping, receiving, purchasing, and inventory teams to ensure efficient workflow, meet production deadlines, and support on-time customer deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production activities to support on-time completion of manufacturing schedules.

  • Release, distribute, and maintain production travelers and work orders.

  • Assist with developing, updating, and maintaining production schedules using an ERP system.

  • Monitor the movement of materials, components, and work-in-process throughout the manufacturing facility.

  • Coordinate the distribution of raw materials to production departments while maintaining inventory accuracy.

  • Track production progress and communicate scheduling changes or delays to the appropriate departments.

  • Coordinate with production, supply chain, shipping, receiving, purchasing, and inventory teams to ensure materials are available and production goals are met.

  • Maintain accurate production records, inventory transactions, and manufacturing documentation.

  • Assist with inventory control and material tracking throughout the production process.

  • Provide backup support for shipping, receiving, and purchasing operations as needed.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment after certification.

  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 6S workplace organization standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

  • Experience with ERP or manufacturing software is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions and production documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Willingness to become forklift certified.

  • Ability to work 2–3 half-day Saturdays per month.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, push, pull, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.

  • Ability to read production documents and computer screens with or without corrective lenses.
