Position: Production Coordinator Pay Range: $23.25 to $27.00 per hour Based on experience and qualifications

Position Purpose: The Production Coordinator is responsible for the development and production of marketing collateral that supports organizational goals. This includes a wide range of materials such as digital brochures and flyers, digital assets, and video content. Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on brand, and with high quality is a key responsibility of this role. The role also provides administrative support, including coordinating invoices, billings, and project closeout activities.

Schedule: This is a seasonal, temporary position involving approximately 4 days per week, increasing during heavier event schedules, not to exceed 122 days per year. To apply, please visit www.ocfair.com/jobs.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for the end-to-end production of marketing collateral, ensuring the timely, efficient, and high-quality creation of print, video, and digital assets. • Develops, edits, and proofreads copy for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with department standards. • Provides administrative support for financial processes, including tracking project expenses, coordinating billings, and processing invoices from contractors. • Assists with project setup and closeout activities. • Reviews and helps resolve billing or invoicing issues by coordinating with internal departments and accounting staff to ensure accuracy and timely processing. • Maintains and establishes project timelines, coordinates with internal departments for approval and trafficking final delivery. • Provides support in the creation of visual layouts, making revisions based on feedback from stakeholders to ensure final products meet expectations. • Conducts thorough checks for design consistency, quality, and accuracy of collateral pieces. • Maintains detailed records of project status, materials, and timelines to ensure efficiency within department projects. • Develops and sustains highly effective communication with internal departments to support collaborative workflow.

Qualifications:

• Three or more years of experience in production or project management within a marketing or design team. • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. • Ad agency experience. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to present to decision makers. • Excellent planning, organization, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to follow up effectively. • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and brand consistency. • Exhibits flexibility and demonstrates ability to meet frequent, unforeseen deadlines. • Maintains professionalism under pressure. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Outlook, Excel, with experience in database management. • Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.

The 32nd District Agricultural Association, also known as the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) is a state agency under jurisdiction of the California Department of Food & Agriculture. The governing authority is a nine-member Board of Directors.

OCFEC is located in Costa Mesa, California on 130 acres that include educational assets like Centennial Farm and Heroes Hall. With an annual budget of $50 + million, the organization produces a STEAM education event, Imaginology and the highly-anticipated OC Fair each year. The OC Fair is one of the top ten Fairs in the nation and top three in California. In addition to the annual OC Fair, promoters host over 150 year-round events on our beautiful grounds.
