SUMMARY
The Production Management Department at Hyundai Mobis North America is seeking a Production Control BOM/EO Specialist to join our team in Richmond Hill, Georgia. The Specialist will play a vital role in establishing MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain LLC. This position is responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing process is efficient, cost-effective, and delivers high-quality products on time, while also coordinating with other departments and managing resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for BOM/EO control and ERP/MES upkeep.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer engineering changes and BOM updates.
- Create and maintain material master data in SAP, including part numbers, routing, work centers, and production versions.
- Monitor incoming EDI for new parts and help keep SAP production planning (PP) data up to date.
- Maintain production BOMs in SAP/MES and ensure effective-point accuracy for new or updated parts.
- Track material usage to support weekly and monthly inventory accuracy.
- Maintain and distribute the master part list across departments.
- Review material history to identify obsolete or excess items.
- Work with IT and SAP users to support system improvements.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (EOs) with plant departments and communicate change impacts internally and externally.
- Participate in EC meetings and track upcoming effective points.
- Maintain EO-related systems such as G-EPI and SAP.
- Manage and report plant-level KPIs, such as Production Performance, Operating Rate, Scrap Cost, Quality Index, Inventory Value
- Collect, verify, and integrate KPI data from other departments within the plant to produce weekly and monthly reports.
- Prepare and present KPI summaries and data-driven insights during management reviews.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, or learn to interpret BOMs, EOs, and basic engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning, etc.)
- Strong initiative, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions
- Ability to adapt quickly, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience with SAP (PP/MM/SD) and MES systems
- Understanding of automotive or just‑in‑sequence processes
- Problem‑solving ability across multiple departments
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with PowerPoint
