Description

The ProductionControl Assistant (PCA) plays a pivotal role in the work booth operations. The PCA audits aircraft maintenance documentation both in-progress and at completion followed by data entry and scanning audited copies into archive. Creates repair station record of a completed work package and ships to the customer. Perform routine and specialized clerical support duties in accordance with standard operating procedures. The Production Control Assistant uses personal computer applications necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Qualified and proficient in all required customer data entry systems and portals.

2. Data enters work packages accurately, in a timely manner, on a consistent basis.

3. Performs audit of work packages for accuracy, in a timely manner.

4. Works in tandem with the Planning Department to add items to the work scope including engineering items and after hours work order changes.

5. Attaches material certificates to work cards.

6. Follows up on work cards needing corrections.

7. Maintains a running tally of audited paperwork.

8. Scans work packages creating repair station record of maintenance.

9. Files work cards and non-routine work cards accurately and in a timely manner.

10. Provides a shift turnover via e-mail daily highlighting any impending action items.

11. Ships completed work packages to customers as needed and uploads work packages in customer systems as required.

12. Key support within maintenance work booth to assist in updating reports, document control and informing Project Manager of needed document corrections.

13. Follows all controlled work booth and safety procedures and wears/uses appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed (as required).

14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Position Profile - Required - Desired - Level

Academic Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred

Languages - Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Spanish a plus

Special Licenses - NA

Previous Experience - Minimum one (1) year of relevant aircraft industry experience preferred

Technical Skills - Position requires proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Project. Individual will perform daily transactions within Flightstar's ERP system as well as customer portals

Required Skills - Above average organizational skills

Strong customer service aptitude

Strong communication

Strong attention to detail and follow through

Multi-tasking techniques and typing proficiency are necessary to perform effectively in the position

The Flightstar Airline Maintenance Division has been performing line and overnight maintenance for the air carriers serving Champaign (CMI) for well over 20 years. This maintenance division currently operates on a 24/7 365 basis from a dedicated 33,000 sq/ft. hangar facility.
