Job Description:
The Production Assembly Supervisor supports and provides leadership to the production staff. Work with the team to ensure that all initiatives are collaborative and the require results are achieved. The Supervisor ensures the safe and efficient production of quality products. Daily responsibilities include supervising production employees, planning and assigning work, adjusting schedules to meet production requirements, analyzing and, resolving production problems. This role requires someone ensure product is assembled, inspecting in conformance with production standards and work instructions. Must have the ability to support and assist in interviewing, selecting of new employees and corrective action and performance reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret production schedules and plans.

- Complete production plans, schedule and assign personnel based on priorities.

- Planning resources to meet production requirements.
- Ensure that product changeover requirements are met based on planned schedule.
- In coordination with Engineering and Management establish new product implementation on line.
- Responsible for Material planning, including communications with Purchasing and Management to ensure materials are on hand.
- Monitor quality of incoming raw materials and finished products

- Provide manufacturing data by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records.
- Ensure that 5S and Visual Controls are in place for everything and that everything is in its place---clean and ready to use.

- Act as liaison between front office operations, Shipping & Receiving, Engineering and Production area.
- Reviewing current work practices to identify areas in which quality or productivity could be improved.
- Ensuring that all quality and standard operating procedures are being followed.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the companies Quality policy, Quality Systems.
- Ensure that Health and Safety standards are followed and opportunities for improvement are reported to Management.
- Ensure timely and proper reporting of all injuries and near misses.

- Oversee and/or conduct training of new or existing team members.

- Identify training and development opportunities for team members including rotation requirements within in the department.
- Supervise team members in accordance with Trijicon values in pursuit of the companies Mission.

- Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, monitoring, and appraising job results of team members.
- Responsible for counseling, and disciplining team members, as necessary to enforce systems, policies, and procedures in coordination with Management and HR.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action with Management and Human Resources.

- Administration duties include approval of Requests for Time Off, Time and Attendance system approvals on schedule for payroll.
Education:
- S. Degree preferred, with prior Production Supervision experience required
Requirements:

Ability to delegate responsibility
Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
ERP experience, SAP preferred
