Job Title: Production and Shipping Technician

Location: El Dorado Hills, CA (onsite)

Duration: 3 months (possible extension)

Shift: Monday to Friday - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay rate: $20.00 - $23/hour on W2

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions

  • Completes tasks including picking, labeling, packaging, and paperwork associated with the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, and all finished goods which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material.
  • Set-up and operate equipment within a continuous production/processing operation following Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications for all critical processes. This includes measuring, building and assembling components per standard operating procedures from SOPs and other procedures using basic measuring equipment (i.e. thermometers, high gauge, etc.) and completing all necessary paperwork as required.
  • Regularly tasked with: data entry in AX/Access computer system, restocking lab/production supplies, material verification and inspection, preparing supplies for production, processing GC capillary columns, transferring completed GC capillary columns, with documentation, to QA department for inspection, packaging and shipping of finished goods, receiving and documenting deliveries, verifying item numbers, lot numbers, and quantities to maintain precise inventory accuracy and other daily production/shipping tasks.

Education, Work Experience, and/or Physical/Environment Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED).
  • Schedule time efficiently to complete work orders in order of priority while keeping all work areas, equipment, and tools neat, clean, and organized.
  • Follow all Safety procedures, including wearing appropriate protective equipment. Ability to bend, lift, stand, sit, and twist for long periods of time and required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety measures when working with hazardous chemicals.
  • Willingness to learn various duties including use of company ERP systems for shipping/inventory.
  • Proficient on computers with experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to travel or work necessary overtime.

Assists in the creation of a culture of safety and environmental protection by performing work safely in accordance with company and departmental safety procedures. Work may be exposed to hazards or hazardous materials requiring use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor. If there is an accident or near miss, they must report it to their supervisor immediately.
